Cassandre is an extensible chess engine written in C++ and able to understand XBoard and UCI protocols. It is based on bitboards and uses a Alpha-Beta algorithm. It also uses a home-made opening book based on grandmasters games.

It is quite weak at the moment but we are going to improve it, and you're welcome to contribute to its getting stronger. Any developer or anyone with good chess skills is welcome to join the team and share his experience and/or ideas.
